When we are faced with a challenge, the majority of us will fight it hard. This is the old thinking pattern that leads to negativity. Here are some ways to change the old thinking pattern and bring yourself into a positive thinking manner.

First, never let negative advice bother you. If a security guard’s wife complains about being a night guard, tell her that it is not your fault and then tell her that she should go talk to her husband about it. The security guard job is stressful enough without adding more stress to an already challenging situation. If a security guard’s boss makes some disparaging remarks about him, simply dismiss them. Most security guard jobs require you to be on your feet daily, sometimes for long periods at a time. If you work in an office building, it is important that you are comfortable with your legs. Dress well so they do not hurt. Shoes and socks should be worn when working, wherever you’re working. If you can, try to find a good closet which enables you more space so you can change your outfit easily without getting up.

When you’re thinking positively, you’ll find that you’re happier and healthier. When you are thinking negatively, you tend to have more health problems. This is because negative thoughts tend to drain you of energy, which leads to you becoming angry and depressed. Instead, change your way of thinking to one of optimism. Think positively about your job and you’ll find that it gets done better.

Change the way you think about anything that has to do with your job performance and you will notice the difference in your attitude and your performance.
